The currency of the Dominican Republic is the Dominican peso. Its symbol is RD$ and is divided into one hundred equal parts called cents. According to the Constitution, the issuance of the national currency is the responsibility of a single and autonomous issuer, the the Dominican Republic Central Bank, which capital is solely for the Dominican State.
The United States dollar (USD) and the euro (EUR) are also accepted at most tourist sites, US dollar is implicated in almost all commercial transactions of the Dominican Republic.
